F-82 E/H Twin Mustang 1/48 Modelsvit 4820
F-82 E/H Twin Mustang - 1/48 scale model kit of an American two-seat long-range fighter Modelsvit 4820
North American F-82 Twin Mustang was originally intended to escort B-29 strategic bombers during raids on Japan. During these long-distance raids, fighter pilots were subjected to heavy workload, so the new fighter had to be a two-seater.
North American began designing this aircraft under the designation NA-120 at the end of 1943. An unusual design decision was made: the aircraft consisted of two elongated fuselages of P-51H fighters, connected by a wing and a tail stabilizer.
